Your Implant Surgery Day, Step by Step

1. Arrival and final check 

We review your health history and medicines, answer last questions and recheck the plan. If you chose sedation, it starts now.

2. Numbing 

A numbing gel goes on first, then local anesthesia. You feel pressure and vibration but should not feel pain. If anything feels sharp, we add more anesthetic before going on.

3. Preparing the site 

A small opening is made in the gum (flap surgery), or in some guided cases only a tiny circle of gum is removed (flapless). The bone is shaped with a sequence of drills while cool water keeps it from heating.

4. Placing the implant

5. Covering and closing 

Either a healing cap is placed so the implant shows through the gum (single-stage), or the gum is closed over it and uncovered later (two-stage). A few small stitches finish the visit.

6. Temporary tooth 

For front teeth or full arch cases, a temporary tooth or bridge may be fitted the same day when the implant is stable enough.
